Welcome to Rosegarth! We are a small hobby cattery located in Surrey, England - just outside London. We specialise
in rare chocolate and lilac pedigree persians which we have bred for over 20 years.
We began with colorbred blues from the Cirrus and Schirana lines. but fell in love along the way with the lilac and chocolate
series. Our aim is to breed chocolates and lilacs in points, solid and tabby that are every bit as beautiful and
as well-bred as the best solid and himalayan persians in the world. Each year we add several new top international breedlines for
continous improvement. However all of our lilacs have our original blues as a foundation along with our wonderful first
USA black persian import GrCh Marhei Sundown -a fabulous prepotent boy.
Also very important for our programme was Ch Desertwinds Braveheart whom we imported
along with two other girls from Janet Moyer in California. He combined the huge coat of his father D Gone to Extremes ( Sulltans,
Southpaw and Fullmoon ) with the strong solid type lines of his Cinema mother who had a lovely pedigree combining another
Southpaw double up with Katrinas and Toshika. Jolees Belle, a huge furry blue carrier girl with
a Marcus mother, has also made a big difference as has Degentilly Sorciere-who also carries Sandypaws
lines. Bastis Second hand Rose, out of Gr Ch Jadon Jeffrey Beene, was
a sweet girl whose grandson R. Persimmon produced his first choc babies this year.
Two years ago we were lucky to have the opportunity to add Teahs, Callyn and Brigantina to our programme, thanks
to our friend Gladys Barton. These new lines come together in our lovely new baby R Mulberry Blonde. Our
new little tabby carrier Woody combines Jolee, Marcus, Desertwinds with Brigantina. In chocolate and himalayan
we also welcome the lovely Cherry Lady von McLane (chocolate tabby
point) who brings all our favourite Degentilly lines and from Israel our pretty Gitkits
Splendid (red tabby cpc). We were delighted to discover Splendid who combines the gorgeous red Gr
Ch Aftabi Sierra with lots of Sandypaws and Purrpals. Many thanks to Teresa Stohrer and Zohar and Avi Git
A million thanks are also due to our great friends Marlen Konrad and family.of Caithness cattery for our 2004 newcomers,
our chocolate point superstud Caithness X-Le-Poo and our lovely lilac creampoint supermum Caithness
Temptation, who broke the record with a litter of 8 babies this year. Marlen was a second mum to Splendid who
did her 6 months 'house arrest' for her pet passport with Marlen in Germany. Not forgetting our good friend
Yolanda di Cataldo, our multilingual and multitalented translator. 'Fritzie' this year sired Zanzibar and
Lalique whilst Temptation is mother to our lovely new boy Isfahan
Thanks also to Trish Simmes in Arizona for our super Az Fancyface Sugar Britches,
a lovely girl with Rosegarth lines behind both of her Swedish Cubic Zirconia parents.
We also have a small programe of black, red and tortie pure persians, from top international lines going back to
our original blues. These also contribute to our choc programme. This year we proudly welcome some gorgeous newcomers;
from Germany CFA Ch Delindars Daniel (black) and CFA Ch Delindars Fiona
(tortie) Later in 2005 we will have a very very special and long awaited arrival -watch this
space .......!
All our babies for show, breed or pet are home raised with lots of love and attention as family members.They have
good house manners and love to watch TV and lounge on the sofa.They have adorable, trusting,sweet, purry natures and have
been well socialised from birth. They love human company and therefore we regret they are not suited to large,
outdoors or caged catteries.
We are a PKD tested and FELV protected establishment. All kittens sold for breeding are from FAB or
DNA tested parents or are DNA negative themselves. All of our kittens are sold with contracts and
if sold as pets must be neutered by seven months of age.
